I believe that starting this journey early is the key which is why I have set up Good Vibrations Music School as a creative outlet for children to take their first steps into the world of music in a fun and exciting way, playing in their very own real live rock band. If you would like to know more about my qualifications please do read on. I have been playing music since the age of 6, when I started out on the organ, I then moved on to the guitar and bass at age 11 forming and fronting my first band age 15 and never looking back.
At age 16 I went to college and studied music production for 4 years and during that time I got work experience working for the 02 Academy in Birmingham working with established touring bands. After leaving college I played in several bands from cover bands playing weddings to original bands touring across the UK and recording several E.P's, one of them over in California. In recent years I have been heavily involved with musical theatre, working with Musical Theatre Stafford since 2016.
In 2018 I decided that I wanted to take my musician skills and teaching skills a little more seriously and enrolled on my level 3 teaching course at Wolverhampton College which I passed. This got me my first real job involved in music on a regular basis working with young adults with learning disabilities for a day service in Cannock. From this I gained further skills in areas such as Makaton and recently gained my level 1 from the Makaton charity, and a qualification in sound therapy.
Working in this role pushed me to further my qualifications and I recently passed my Music Leader course with City and Guilds and CM music. Alongside all of this I produce and host my own radio show weekly on 107.3 Stafford FM.
I really hope that we can work together and that Good Vibrations Music School is something that you will consider enrolling your child on if we visit your school.
Thanks Mat
